Saturday, June 27
I hope that everyone had a chance to get out and support some of Utah's great local boutiques this past Saturday! My family and I had a very full and fun Saturday and we want to tell you about it! Here we go!

Uptown Girls Too Boutique, by Christy Brandley was a lot of fun! It was fun to see familiar faces and meet new ones! Karie Siqua greeted us with a hug! (We love hugs:) She was there doing her Heritage Makers thing. There was also glitter toes going on and major trendy clothing and accessories shopping going on downstairs with Christy's great new items and jeans from Trendee by Kimberly Armstrong. Uptown Girls Too was created after Christy's sister's boutique, "Uptown Girls" in California. Utah women wanted to be 'Uptown Girls Too'!! Christy runs her boutique out of her home to keep prices low, and your personal shopping needs convienent. She does monthly open houses, home parties where you can receive free, and discounted clothing, trade shows, salons, and more. As a mom of four kids it's great to have those few items in your closet that makes you feel, and look your best. Come shop Uptown Girls Too for fun fashion at affordable prices!!Uptown Girls Too is Open Daily by appointment.Call or email to set up a time to stop by

***After the Uptown Girls Boutique, we were hungry! So, we headed to find something yummy! We found Jason's Deli, and it was delicious! It was a great spot to feed all of our little mouths and it made mouths happy! Free ice cream was a bonus! Now we were ready for some more boutique fun!

My Petite Boutique, promoted by Kara and Jamie, owners of La Petite Academy in Sandy, was a real treat! What a great place for a boutique! Our kids thought it was so cool to be in a preschool, and every vendor had treats! La Petite Academy is now enrolling for the Fall! Contact them at 801-943-8474 or go to for more info on this great educational experience for your child!

We met a lot of great artisans and we would like to tell you about them!

This was not your everyday unique, so many different flavors, and soooo tasty! They even take custom orders! Lui Bonilla is the Founder of Lui's Kitchen and was there with his wife, Ali Bonilla, and kids. This is Lori Anderson with For Every Home. Lori's Sister-in-Law is the founder of For Every Home, so it was great to talk to Lori about this awesome business started here in Utah. What a great story of success! Paul and Becky Anderson founded For Every Home, one of the nation's fastest growing home party companies. In the For Every Home magazine titled, Celebrating Women, Becky talks about how she built this business from the ground up. In 1994, Becky was living on a large fruit farm in Provo, UT. After watching her family work on the farm, she decided that she wanted her girls to learn work in a way that would be fun and safe. In 1995, she opened a retail bath and body shop called For Every Body in the local mall. In 1997 they developed an all-natural line of bath and body products and launched them nationally. In 1999 they introduced a line of soy based candles to compliment the bath products. The candles were an incredible success! Now, For Every Body is one of the largest privately held candle companies in the U.S., as well as the larges femal-owned soy candle company. In 2007, they launched For Every Home to give women the chance to make a difference and live their dreams. What a great story huh!
***If you are interested in being a For Every Home consultant, contact Lori Anderson at or call her at 801-836-2617!!! Thanks Lori! It was so nice to meet you!!!

We had a lot of fun at My Petite Boutique! Thank you so much for letting us be involved!!!

The Bijou Market, promoted by Emily Frame, made our Saturday complete! With the beautiful outside relaxing atmosphere complete with live Jazz music in a beautiful yard right in the middle of Orem, it was blissful! Just take a look at this home! Talk about atmosphere! What a beautiful day for an outside event! This home is beautifully decorated and landscaped surrounded by orchards!

We had a great evening visiting with all of the neat artisans and saw some amazing new ideas. Let me share....
These girls have come up the with the coolest idea! (I have misplaced their info, so please email me, and I will update you info!)

So cute and unique! I tried them on and they are really cool! You can wear them your sandals too for another great look! We love seeing new and unique items! So much fun!
Here's another great idea....all you need to grow your own herbs in a can! You just open the can and water! They also make all kinds of wholesome snacks. (Please send me more info also-it was a long day).
We got to see Kharisma once again! It's always so nice to see Melissa and we got to meet her partner, Melanie this time! What a great couple of women! We enjoyed learning more about Kharisma and the progress that they are making. Their website is coming soon! Check it out at!

Wow! You won't want to miss the Bijou Market in November. We will keep you updated, so make sure you attend! Thank you Emily and all who helped put this Market together, and thank you artisans! We loved being a part of this amazing and unforgettable event!

Now it is your turn! Did you go to one of these amazing shows? Did you go to any that we missed? Please comment below and tell us all of your experience! We need everyone to make the Boutique Industry a success!
